The mira Experience
The mira Experience is a simple philosophy we use at HF HealthCare to provide a foundation for how we approach our jobs, and how we give care to those who entrust us with this vital piece of their lives.
The letters M I R A spell out the four pieces of the HF HealthCare puzzle: Mentoring, Individualized Service, Reliability, and Advocacy. Everything we do is encompassed in one or more of these puzzle pieces.
MENTORING
A mentor is someone who advises and provides support in times of transition and need. HF HealthCare believes that mentoring is a key component in ensuring success to individuals and families dealing with hemophilia. From guiding patients through the everyday obstacles of hemophilia to helping our clients with unexpected emergencies, we’re here to help in any way we can.
A primary goal of the Patient Care Advocates at HF HealthCare is to empower their clients through knowledge and understanding as mentors. By providing such care and education, we aim to empower our clients and their families to maintain a healthy lifestyle, to give you the resources that allow for safe and effective administration of infusion therapy, and to help you live life to its fullest.
Many of our Patient Care Advocates have attended bleeding disorders summer camps, and now volunteer as counselors. We dedicate the time and effort to ensure kids get the same chance to enjoy the rights of passage that summer camps offer with the additional margin of safety specialized camps provide.
HF HealthCare is partnered with professionally trained nurses, doctors, and pharmacists. Our staff is knowledgeable about the latest research and information concerning bleeding disorders, and our mentoring program puts decades of experience into your hands.
INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICE
Is it possible for a national company to care about individual patients? In a word: Yes.
HF HealthCare employs Patient Care Advocates by region, and our Advocates pride themselves on their ability to make connections with their patients, to truly find out what you need and help you fill that need. We understand the unique and complex needs that life can present a person with hemophilia. We work with our patients and caregivers, in coordination with clinical professionals, to guarantee the highest level of care is achieved. In this way, we can help tailor a custom program of treatment to meet your unique needs within this disorder.
Our Patient Care Advocates understand that your needs will vary day to day and year to year. We’re here for all your healthcare needs, and can assist with obtaining help with financial and psycho-social issues as well.
The bottom line: you can think of us as the national company with small-town service. We’re big enough to get you the service you need, and small enough to make a difference in your life.
RELIABILTY
What does reliability mean to you? Is it knowing that your car will start tomorrow morning with no problems? Is it knowing that your best friend will be there Saturday morning to help you with the yard work, just like he promised?
Efficiency and accessibility are traits you may not associate with healthcare, but your Patient Care Advocate is here to change that. We strive not only to ensure that you have the proper medications and supplies when you need them, and the proper training and resources to use them properly, but we constantly look to make your life better. Your Advocate will check in with you on a regular basis, not only to fill orders but to pass on information, suggest special events or trainings you might want to attend.
Additionally, your Advocate is part of a team that is available 24/7 to help you through any emergency situation. You can have peace of mind that you’re not alone at any time; someone else is ready to step in and help you.
HF HealthCare works with many authorized companies to obtain the best possible pricing and level of service that can be passed on to you. We are contracted with most insurance agencies, major medical, Medicare, and Medicaid, and we have the ability to work within the Worker’s Compensation system.
Our goal is to establish long-term relationships. Because of our knowledge, experience, and credibility, you can be assured of the quality and integrity of all of our products. We provide same-day delivery to our local clients, and next-day delivery nationwide. Our extensive network of manufacturers and authorized distributors give us many avenues to supply products.
ADVOCACY
What does it take to be an advocate? It’s not all about lobbying on Capital Hill for the pork provision in the latest bill being voted on. An Advocate is someone who has detailed information and knowledge on a particular subject, and chooses to use that knowledge to help and educate those around him or her that subject.
The Patient Care Advocates at HF HealthCare are well-equipped with knowledge and experience. Our representatives are familiar with the needs of the bleeding disorders community, and provide the essential know-how for day-to-day care and urgent situations. We advocate for you when it is time to deal with insurance companies and customized care, and we strive to help you educate the people around you about bleeding disorders.
That being said, on the legislative side, our team members are deeply involved and heavily motivated in fighting for patients’ with bleeding disorders rights both locally and nationally. We advocate for the funding, research, and education that bleeding disorders require, in the hopes that a cure can be found.
Our goal is to be your strongest advocate. We are here for you!
